Abstract

The manual discusses the methodological foundations of the school textbook of the ancient world for 6th grade students. The authors describe the main stages and features of textbook formation from the history of the ancient world of the mid -nineteenth - early XXI centuries. The work substantiates the theoretical model of the modern textbook of the history of the ancient world, which covers didactic (functions and structure of the textbook, principles of selection and construction of its content) and psychological aspects (construction of content of educational material in accordance with the stages of learning process, providing procedural aspects of teaching history in 6th grade, providing procedural aspects taking into account the age characteristics of sixth graders). For scientists, teachers of practitioners, psychologists, methodologists, as well as authors and publishers of textbooks and manuals from school history courses, graduate students and students of graduates of universities, academies, institutes.
