Abstract
On the website of the Ukrainian Society of the Deaf (UTOG), there is a "UTOG Service" https://utog.org/projects/servis-utog-24-7-vpevneno-poruch, which offers online translation services 24/7. Professional translators work on the service, because as in any profession, professionalism is important in translation. In today's conditions, online communication may be unavailable / poor quality due to lack of light and Internet. If there are currently scheduled blackouts, try to make an appointment for a time when the lights will not be turned off. By contacting UTOG, you can pre-arrange the personal participation of an interpreter in the meeting. If we are talking about the education system, then teachers of special institutions, full-time translators of institutions of general secondary / professional / higher education are well versed in sign language, and often help with translation in institutions during meetings. However, such specialists do not always have the opportunity to devote time to you. Teachers are not professional translators. Basic tips for communicating with a sign-speaking person using a sign language interpreter.
