Abstract

Modern processes of socio-economic changes in the conditions of globalization, informatization, the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and wartime determine the need to define and consider relevant skills (hard skills, soft skills) of personal work organization in the content of programs for improving the qualifications of employees in any field in the context of their continuous professional development based on the interaction of formal, informal and informal education, demand in the labor market. Self-management and time management as soft skills of leaders and workers in the field of education will ensure the realization of the tasks of personal and professional development of workers in the field of education in the context of continuous professional development, increasing the competitiveness of educational institutions. For scientific research on the mentioned topic, the research carried by domestic researchers (K. Avetisyan, T. Alexandrovych, K. Andriushchenko, O. Babchynska, A. Vatskivska, O. Gubar, A. Zamohylnyi, Kalugina, M. Kernova, Yu. Kovbasyuk, O. Kolesov, V. Kolpakov, V. Kuprievich, M. Lukashevich, N. Lyubchenko, O. Lyaluk, A. Midlyar, A. Prykhodchenko, N. Pirozhenko, A. Sakun, O. Obolenskyi, O. Ratushnyak, V. Selyutin, S. Seryogin, I. Sinchak, G. Tymoshko, O. Shtepa, O. Yakushev.) and foreign scientists (M. Woodcock, L. Seivert, D. Linman, D. Francis, A. Khrolenko, B. Schwalbe, H. Schwalbe, etc.). Highlighting the essential characteristics of self-management and time management as soft skills, components of professional competence, their technological aspects in the personal organization of the work of managers and employees in the field of education in the context of a continuous professional development is the purpose of the article. The essential characteristics of the concepts of «ability/skills», «soft skills» are described; «hard skills» based on the analysis of the works of foreign and domestic researchers. The relevance and evolution of self-management and time management as key directions are substantiated. The author’s position on self-management and time management as soft skills, components of professional competence, their technological aspects in the personal organization of the work of managers and employees in the field of education in the context of continuous professional development defined. The experience of the practical implementation of self-management and time management in the activities of a post-graduate education institution regarding the improvement of the qualifications of managers, scientific-pedagogical and pedagogical workers of general secondary, professional (vocational-technical), professional pre-higher, higher, post-graduate education institutions are described. The introduction of educational programs for professional development and training of higher education seekers, considering the relevance of «soft» skills of self-management and time management, will contribute to the personal and professional development of employees in the field of education in the context of continuous professional development, increasing competitiveness in educational institutions. A deep understanding of their role and content in the context of adult education is necessary. In the conditions of reforming education in Ukraine, the problem of determining the relevant skills of specialists that meet the demands of the labor market requires further research. The significant interest of Ukrainian researchers in selfmanagement and time management was manifested in scientific work and the inclusion of relevant topics in educational programs. Nowadays the topic of defining soft and hard skills in the context of developing and approving professional standards for teachers and heads of preschool, professional (vocational-technical) education institutions, which requires the organization of research activities, is gaining relevance.
