Abstract

The article highlights the preparation and holding of the Norwegian-Ukrainian scientific seminar on the history of education, which took place on December 13, 2022, in the format of an online meeting on the Zoom platform at the initiative of the Norwegian scientist Brit Marie Hovland, professor of VID Specialized University (Oslo, Norway). It has been stated that the scientific impetus for the seminar was the participation of Ukrainian scientists — historians of education Larysa Berezivska and Oleksandr Mikhno in the International Conference “Histories of Educational Technologies: Cultural and Social Dimensions of Pedagogical Objects” (August 31 — September 6, 2022, Milan, Italy). It has been argued that the international activity of V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine and Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine in martial law conditions is a component of countering russian aggression. After all, during the speeches of the Ukrainian scientists on the stated topics, foreign colleagues become informed about the state of education and cultural heritage in Ukraine, changes in the topic of research on the history of education, the specifics of the Ukrainian scientists’ activities during the war. It has been noted that the outlined international activity is taking place within the framework of long-term creative cooperation of V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine and Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine, and it is aimed at the implementation of the Strategy of Internationalisation of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine for 2021-2025.
