Abstract

The purpose of this article is to highlight the results of the applied study "Development of psychological readiness of teachers for professional activities in the New Ukrainian School", which is performed at Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of NAES of Ukraine; highlighting the main trends and determining the impact of anxiety on the psychological readiness of the individual for professional activities in the implementation of the Concept of New Ukrainian School in wartime; elucidation of the panic disorders dynamics peculiarities as a result of experiencing military events by the subjects. Psychological readiness of a person for professional activity as a research problem is difficult to study by a phenomenon. This led to the choice of a combined approach to experimental work and appropriate research methods and techniques: diagnostic interview, observation; methods of self-assessment of health and mental states; HADS hospital anxiety and depression scale, HARS anxiety scale, BDI depression scale, etc. The main results of the study are: identification of high levels of anxiety and depression among the subjects; finding out that the vast majority of subjects have an insufficient level of psychological readiness for professional activities and identify signs of panic attacks and symptoms of panic disorder; statements of the need not only to prevent and overcome states of depression and anxiety, but in particular, psychotherapy of panic disorders, which arose and developed in the studied categories as a result of the war. The practical significance of the study is due to the applied aspect of its results in ensuring that teachers maintain mental and occupational health; reduction of the general emotional load; increasing the resourcefulness of the individual and the formation of the integrity of professional self-realization, professional reflection in the general system of development of psychological readiness for professional activity. The results of the study are taken into account and used: in complex psychotherapeutic work in cognitive, individual-oriented, positive approach, hypnotherapy; group training in mental self-regulation, psychological self-help, and can be useful to workers in helping professions in working with people affected by war.
