Abstract

The publication identifies and analyzes the features of including scientific journals in the international Web of Science database. Searching for the exact citations of scholarly publications allows you to find all works that have ever been cited in the 74.4 million article citations in the ESCI New Sources Citation Index. Searching for cited references allows you to track how any idea, innovation or creative work has been validated, applied, improved, extended or corrected, and to identify those who cite the author of a scientific study worldwide.
