Abstract

The abstracts highlight the domestic and foreign experience of organizing distance learning in institutions of general secondary education through the prism of its advantages and difficulties that arise in the process of implementing this form of educational process. A conclusion was made as to the consistency of general assessments of the main disadvantages of distance learning in the works of domestic and foreign scientists. It was found that foreign researchers, in contrast to Ukrainian colleagues, are generally more optimistic about the prospects of distance education in the context of increasing the level of educational achievements of students and developing higher-order thinking skills in them, as well.
