Abstract

This dictionary is the first attempt to reproduce the semantic space of the russian-ukrainian war. Its goal is a psychologically based ordering of meanings, terms, names, events, symbols, with the help of which this war can be understood by Ukrainian society. The dictionary includes 111 terms describing the reality of war in four main categories: 1) participants (parties) of the war; 2) events and locations of the war, which are centers of the greatest emotional stress; 3) psychological phenomena and psychological consequences of war; 4) examples of spontaneous myth- and meme-making of Ukrainian society, which performs an autotherapeutic function. The currently prepared dictionary, as they say, in hot-track pursuit cannot be considered complete – if only because the war continues. Therefore, the authors consider it as a project open to additions and content adjustments. Further work on the dictionary is planned to be carried out in the direction of clarifying and expanding the terminological list, as well as the accumulation of psychoeducational and educational materials of a general nature for use in the mass media and distribution through social networks in order to saturate the public discourse regarding the russian-ukrainian war with constructive meanings.
