Abstract
The methodological recommendations outline the current state of professional training of teachers in Austrian and German universities; the Austrian and German quality assurance systems of higher pedagogical education were analyzed and their key elements were characterized: the quality of the potential of higher education, the quality of the educational process and the quality of the result of higher education in order to determine ways of using the constructive ideas of the Austrian and German experience to ensure the quality of teacher training in the system of higher pedagogical education of Ukraine. Methodological recommendations have a practical focus, can be used by professors and teachers of higher education institutions of Ukraine, institutions of the system of continuous professional pedagogical education in the process of professional development of Ukrainian educators, graduate students, students, master's students of pedagogical specialties when studying the course "Comparative pedagogy", "History of pedagogy".
