Abstract

The article presents the historical process of research of the phenomenon of social intelligence. It solves the understanding of the concept of "intelligence" and clarifies approaches to the analysis of structures of intelligence. The place of social intelligence in the structure of intelligence and its understanding within different approaches is identified. The attempt to give the own definition of “social intelligence” is initiated." It is investigated the difference between the concepts of "social intelligence" and "emotional intelligence", "social competence", "social cleverness".
