Abstract
The role of the school library in providing students with textbooks is revealed, the main forms of working with textbooks are highlighted. The history of development, purpose and tasks of library pedagogy is highlighted. The main forms and methods of implementation of library pedagogy are disclosed. Sources that highlight issues of library pedagogy have been studied.
