Abstract
The problem of implementing the concept of the New Ukrainian School on the adaptation cycle of primary secondary education has been updated. The tasks of Ukrainian literature textbooks and methods of working with them in lessons in the process of studying lyrical works are analyzed. It has been proven that the forms of organizing perception in the mentioned textbooks constitute a complete system, and contribute to a deeper understanding of the ideological content and subtext of lyrical works, the development of creative abilities, and the emotional intelligence of younger teenagers.
