Abstract

Methodical recommendations reveal the content, forms and methods of providing information needs of users of educational libraries (school and higher education libraries). Modern trends in the development of information services of educational libraries testify to the transfer of emphasis from the formation of the library fund to the increasing consideration of user experience (customer experience) and the variety of forms and methods of providing information needs of users. The use of recommendations in library work will contribute to the organization of library work with the aim of qualitatively and promptly meeting the information needs of participants in the educational process and other users, modernizing the library service system based on the use of information and communication technologies. Methodological recommendations are addressed to library specialists of the network of educational libraries, all those who are interested in researching information needs and methods of their provision in modern conditions.
