Abstract

The article is devoted to analyzing the imagological aspects of the works of modern Ukrainian literature, which are included in the reading circle of teenage schoolchildren. National stereotypes in poetry and prose, problems of representation of images of other cultures are considered through the prism of a multidisciplinary approach. The peculiarities of literature for teenagers in the imagological aspect is also the desire for a dialogue between the Own and the Strange (Other) worlds. This contributes to the construction of a model of a tolerant attitude towards the spiritual world of other people, mutual understanding in society. The material of the study was the works intended for textual analysis by younger teenagers at school – the poetry of Tatyana Maidanovich, Galina Kirpa, Mikhail Tkach and Igor Kalinets, the prose of Maria Morozenko and Zirka Menzatyuk. The most expressive in imagological binary oppositions Own / Alien (Other) are temporal and spatial categories, images, stereotypes.
