Abstract

The review article presents 4 structural components of personnel development of the specialists’ andragogical competence in the field of corporate education: cognitive and semantic component; value and motivational component; reflexive and evaluative component; and operational and activity component. Based on the analysis of their content and essence, the criteria and indicators of the components are singled out. The cognitive and semantic component covers three groups of criteria associated with general professional knowledge, skills and abilities, psychological, pedagogical and andragogical knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as a range of personal qualities contributing to professional activity effectiveness. The value and motivational component is characterized by three groups of criteria related to personal, professional and corporate motivational and value attitudes. The reflexive and evaluative component reveals itself through such three criteria as self-assessment and self-analysis adequacy, the awareness of one's professional potential, and the ability to plan, control and adequately assess the progress of one’s own personal and professional development. Finally, the three criteria covered by the operational and activity component are as follows: corporate communication activities, professional and pedagogical activities, one's own professional development designing. It has been found that the specialists who run courses in corporate training centers are the staff of higher education institutions, researchers, vocational education and training staff, or experienced practitioners. They can be grouped into two categories: the theorists who conduct research in their fields of study and the practitioners who are perfectly knowledgeable about their specialties and are able to share their knowledge and experience with others. While the theorists lack practical experience, the practitioners lack scientific and research experience. It has been concluded that both categories need to develop their andragogical competence.
