Abstract
The article emphasizes that geography is already an integrated science, within which physical geography and socio-economic geography have their own subjects of research, their own theory and methodology, but at the same time they are aware of common geographical interests, goals and tasks. It is determined that the creators themselves of "geographic" and "economic" science are often Personalities (with a capital letter) with an interesting life path and exemplary creative experience.
