Abstract

In the All-Ukrainian round table proceedings "Psychology of the Russian-Ukrainian war: An inside view" the psychological phenomena of modern war as a complex multidimensional reality are analyzed, an attempt is made to create a general picture of its psychological dimension. The psychological consequences of the war observed in different communities and subsystems of society are analyzed. Practice-tested approaches and techniques of psychological support and assistance to the population, current challenges and tasks of the professional psychological community as a whole and its individual components, in particular, the psychological service of the education system, are discussed. Particular attention is paid to helping children and their parents who were evacuated or injured as a result of hostilities, families of military personnel and combat veterans. The authors share their views on topics such as the psychology of collective trauma, the spiritual component of our victory over the russian aggressor, and the prevention of massive dehumanization and polarization of public opinion. Some results of research into the psychological conditions and needs of the population during the war are also presented.
