Abstract

The theses show socio-anthropological content from the point of view education for personality development in the second half of the 19th century; it is established what the term "anthropology" is; the ideas of anthropological universalism of education and upbringing in Ukraine, which are primarily connected with the proposal and implementation of K. D. Ushinsky, are revealed.
