Abstract

The work examines competence-oriented education, which is aimed at the comprehensive assimilation of knowledge and methods of practical activity, thanks to which a person successfully realizes himself in various areas of his life. It is emphasized that competence-oriented education as a basis for the development of andragogical competence of professionals in the field of adult education attests to the application of the competence approach in the development of andragogical competence of teaching staff of post-graduate institutions of pedagogical education, ensuring multi-level professionalization of pedagogical staff in the field of adult education.
