Abstract

The problem of implementing the concept of the New Ukrainian School in the 5th grade has been updated. The tasks of the textbook and methods of working with them in the lessons in studying the works of modern Ukrainian literature are analyzed. It has been proven that the study of modern Ukrainian literature in the 5th grade of the New Ukrainian School involves an orientation towards the formation of a system of key competencies, students' reading literacy, and the development of their value potential.
