Abstract
The key documents of UNESCO, the European Union, and European organisations for evaluating research activities under the Open Science were analysed. The trends were determined, in particular, regarding the need to update systems for evaluating research and researchers; taking into account the diversity of scientific results, activities and goals; the importance of peer review and adherence to the principles of excellence, research integrity, and reliability of scientific results; promoting multilingualism in order to increase the impact of scientific results.
