Abstract

The level of formation of interpretative processes in adult respondents was investigated by us in an experiment, which consisted in conducting an online survey according to certain standardized procedures, corrected and modified for the purposes of the study, with further analysis to establish correlations of the level of interpretive skills of the respondents with some of their other psychological characteristics. The results of the study provide grounds for the introduction of the concept of "interpretive competence" as a set of competencies that provide the interpretive potential of a person. Interpretive competence of an individual can be considered as an acquired quality that ensures full-fledged professional functioning of an individual and facilitates his path to self-realization.
