Abstract

The issue of the textual study of modern prose in literature lessons is actualized. A comparative analysis of individual works of modern Ukrainian and foreign literature, aspects of their research in extracurricular reading lessons. It is proved that in modern works of art about the Second World War for teenagers and young adults the traumatic experience of generations is narrated through narrative structures carried out by a heterodiegetic narrator, at the center of which are adventures and psychological formation of a young person trying to fight for life. changed circumstances of existence caused by military events. The peculiarity of the narrative lies in its going beyond the literary work, the acquisition of mnemonic, socio-cultural, and psychotherapeutic functions.
