Abstract

The article reveals the problem of publishing activity as one of the most important components in the evaluation (ranking) of scientists, based on the international recognition of scientific results through publications in publications. The practice of managing the development of scientific research is studied, the indicators of publishing activity of scientists - citation indices are introduced. It is determined that the citation of a scientist depends not only on the quality of the research, but also on the publication where its results are published. Evaluation of the effectiveness of scientific activity through the study of publishing activity, which is a strategy for building a professional career of a scientist as a conscious position and behavior in the field of scientific activity and related to job and professional growth.
