Abstract

The monograph highlights the results of the study of psychological strategies of community adaptation to the conditions and consequences of armed conflict on the basis of following models: strengthening of public health, processing traumatic experiences, transforming of social capital, family interaction, applying media practices, value mutual understanding; the social and psychological means of enhancing individual and collective adaptability and activation of collective efforts to overcoming the effects of armed conflict have been identified. The provisions and conclusions outlined in the monograph will broaden understanding of the psychological strategies of community adaptation to the conditions and consequences of armed conflict, will help to increase public attention to the problems of community adaptation in the conditions of armed conflict, and the members of different communities become aware of the possibilities of their activation. The monograph is addressed to experts in the field of education - practical psychologists, social pedagogues, teachers, academics of higher education institutions, as well as public servants, representatives of mass media, social workers, volunteers and everyone who is concerned with the problem of different people adaptation to the conditions and consequences of armed conflict.
