Abstract

The article emphasizes that personalities-geographers are one of the most important categories studied in the course of school geography. On their example, the presentation of the development of geographical science, which has taken place and continues to take place through the transfer of experience from older generations to the next. And the creation of a vivid image of the individual through scientific heritage, determining its impact on the processes of formation of geographical thought helps students to more productively study and master the material.
