Abstract

The article considers the essence of value and professional value orientations. It is determined that a significant lever of effective professional development of a person is his ability to find personal meaning in future professional activities. It is substantiated that self-determination is characterized by the appropriation of certain values and their awareness as their own on the basis of self-knowledge and the embodiment of these values in certain activities.
