Abstract

In 2018, Ukraine participated for the first time in the monitoring of PISA and, like other participating countries participation in the monitoring for the first time, felt the so-called "PISA-shock". Results of Ukrainian students were lower than the OECD average, in addition, it was found that their lowest mathematical literacy. The national report analyzed existing 9th grade mathematics textbooks for problems similar to those contained in PISA clusters. In these theses textbooks of 5-8 classes are analyzed.
