Abstract

Analytical materials (preprint) are devoted to the problem of development of scientific and pedagogical potential of Ukrainian universities in the context of expanding institutional autonomy. The authors, based on the analysis of native and foreign practice, revealed native achievements and problems, also outlined progressive ideas of foreign experience in the development of scientific and pedagogical potential of universities. The introduction of analytical materials (preprints) will help attract educational policy makers, heads of higher education institutions, scientists, research and teaching staff and higher education students to the theoretical foundations of scientific and pedagogical potential of Ukrainian universities to develop strategies for university development, ranking and competitiveness.
