The development procedure and the main components of the web-quest are described, the potential of this method for the development of students' motivation is defined. The basic elements of a web-quest are: introduction, tasks, process, sources, evaluations and conclusions, creation of life hack content. Lifehack as a variant of conceptualization of the acquired knowledge and experience in terms of "life wisdom" in the form suitable for transfer of information to other persons is an especially useful element of the programs or trainings for development of civic competence.
