Abstract
Today, the types of digital skills students need to succeed today are radically different from those needed just five years ago. The current state of events dictates us to constantly review and update digital skills through new technologies and innovations - artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, cloud computing, Internet of Things technology, machine learning and mobile applications. This rapidly changing context is forcing countries with existing digital skills programs to update their strategies, and for those countries that have not yet launched a national digital skills program, to take action. The development of modern digital technologies contributes to their wider use in education.
