Abstract

It is revealed that in the conditions of global challenges of the present EU faces the need to intensify strategy for equity in education. Equity in education is viewed from the standpoint of inclusion (whether all students receive a minimum amount of quality education) and equality (whether student performance depends on socio-economic status). It is concluded that the EU documents on equity in education form a strategy characterized by cross-cutting (implemented in all strategic documents), integrity (covers all levels of education in the coordinates of lifelong learning), complexity, providing synergies of equality and inclusion.
