Abstract

The article considers the issue of psychological and pedagogical support of children with mental retardation in terms of various forms of their education in general secondary education. Emphasis is placed on the negative consequences of the unconditional transfer of foreign experience of inclusive education of children with special educational needs to domestic conditions and the associated threats of destruction of national principles of correctional and pedagogical assistance to these children. Possibilities of interaction of special and inclusive classes as a single system that provides quality education and social inclusion of children with a mental retardation are considered.
