Abstract

Аctualizes the problem of modernization of the content of school literary education and preparation of innovative educational support for the literature course for 5-6 grades in the context of the ideas of the New Ukrainian School and in accordance with the new State Standard of Basic Secondary Education. New model programs on Ukrainian literature and an integrated course of literatures (Ukrainian and foreign) for the adaptation cycle of study are presented, in particular the purpose of studying literature in 5-6 grades is actualized. The focus is on the didactic functions of school textbooks.
