Abstract

The article deals with psychological means of preventing and counteracting stigmatization and bullying due to property inequality in the educational environment for working with the most stigmatized people and their social environment. These means were developed on the basis of the empirical research. 56.9% of children who do not have modern gadgets, clothes, suffer from bullying and stigma. 86% of respondents witnessed stigma and bullying due to property inequality in the educational environment, while 72% of respondents said they did not know exactly how to behave in such a situation. The aim of the article is to substantiate the psychological means of preventing and counteracting stigmatization due to property inequality in the educational environment. There are three main areas of research and practical works: overcoming the stigma of people with different property status by the group, community and society, self-stigmatization and, accordingly, overcoming the effects of stigma. The proposed means have been tested for effectiveness. Stigmatization due to property inequality is defined as prejudice against individuals or certain groups due to their different property status and financial capacity, which is manifested in the attribution of negative traits, devaluation and social isolation. Stigmatization due to property inequality is manifested both in people with low and clearly high property and financial status. The necessity of a complex and technological approach to overcoming the negative manifestations and consequences of stigmatization and bullying due to property inequality is substantiated. Prospects for further research are related to the development of proposals to combat stigma due to property inequality in the media.
