Abstract

The article describes the digital tools and tools used in the school environment in the process of implementing education for democratic citizenship (EDC). The relevance of the formation of civic culture and civic competencies of students by means of ICT in the implementation of civic education is analyzed. It is proved that the creation of a digital environment in general secondary education is today a response to the challenges of technological progress of society and the conditions in which education for the young generation takes place in accordance with the Concept of the New Ukrainian School and modern educational reforms. The instrumental system of supporting the school environment for the implementation of education for democratic citizenship is substantiated, its definition is given. The model of the instrumental system of school environment support for EDC implementation is presented and its components are described, including digital means, digital resources on EDC issues, users - subjects of educational process, hardware and software, tools for monitoring and evaluation of EDC implementation, support and improvement. teacher qualifications, social networks and educational communities for democratic citizenship and civic education. The features of the digital learning environment are singled out, which include: integration, personalization, accessibility, versatility of design, accessibility for students and teachers. The main functions of this environment are clarified, including communication, cooperation, evaluation (testing), planning and management, presentation and evaluation of tasks implemented by the relevant basic components of the digital learning environment. Examples of digital tools and resources aimed at implementing education for democratic citizenship are provided, including digital educational platforms, online courses, social networks and communities. Prospects for further research are outlined.
