Abstract
The report states that the basis of professional self-development is personal self-development aimed at the formation of the creative personality of the teacher. The andragogical conditions that provide professional and personal self-development of a teacher in postgraduate education are highlighted. It is concluded that the use of andragogical conditions in the framework of continuing education helps to increase the effectiveness of adult learning by strengthening the internal motivation of the teacher to professional and personal self-development.
