Abstract

The problem of didactic functions of the modern school textbook of literature is actualized. The current textbooks of Ukrainian literature and the integrated course of literatures (Ukrainian and foreign) for the 5th grade of the author's team of researchers of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine in terms of productive implementation of self-educational function are described.
