Abstract

The publication analyzes the use of the Participation Reports service of the CrossRef database, which provides a complete picture of the expanded metadata of academic publishers and scientific journals. The Participation Reports system allows you to assess the quality and completeness of metadata of individual academic publishers or scientific journals, as well as visualize all data as a percentage of ten key indicators: References, Open references, ORCID iDs, Funder Registry IDs, Funding award numbers, Crossmark-enabled, Text -mining URLs, License URLs, Similarity Check URLs, Abstracts. To increase the effectiveness of scientific research, editors should encourage authors to use ORCID in their manuscripts, and publishers should record as much metadata as possible to further the development of scientific research.
