Abstract

The article examines the resource component of socialization in senior preschoolers with general speech underdevelopment (hereinafter GSU). When faced with difficulties, such children do not show persistence in task performing, they are unable to focus on a given task for a long time and their independence is low. Children with general speech underdevelopment were more active in everyday life activities and games when they did not need to use speech or could completely or partially replace speech with familiar gestures, facial expressions. They never expressed their opinion as for any action. If they had difficulties at speaking, they mostly tried to avoid it, replacing it with gestures, looks, facial expressions. It was determined that they understood their shortcoming and were ashamed of it. The experimental test showed that if children with GSU was instructed to perform any task, even if a new one, unknown for them, the children, as a rule, started to perform it. The indicators of independence for children with GSU were calculated, and we concluded that these children’s independence was underdeveloped. Very few children had their own point of view, they very rarely sought help from their peers; this led to their introversion, alienation from peers. Such children did not know how to resolve conflict situations and tried to avoid them, but they gladly accepted help from adults. So, only several such children could play independently, the same number of children was able to find what to do independently. This fact indicates insufficient socialization in their microsociety and, accordingly, an underdeveloped resource component of socialization in senior preschoolers with GSU.
