Abstract
Different personal characteristics affect a person's personal autonomy depending on the level of autonomy development. The better a person's self-attitude, the higher his/her personal autonomy. Psychological hardiness can be seen as a basis for autonomy development. People with high autonomy can be described as ones who accept other people as individuality, believe in one’s own current achievements and, at the same time, optimistically look forward to future opportunities, demonstrate a better understanding of the meaning of their lives, their life goals are clearer.
