Abstract

The article deals with different scientific views on the problems of development and introduction in educational process of competence-based approach, proposes definitions of the terms «competence» and «expertise», which lie in the basis of it. The conception of the competency-based approach in the system of pre-university training of senior pupils in technical areas is presented.
