Abstract
One of the modern directions of development and improvement of the education system is the use of innovative pedagogical technologies based on computer telecommunications. Theses are about distance learning as one of the main, institutional forms of education and the place of the tutor in this process. The main reasons for the unpreparedness of the education system of Ukraine in modern conditions for the effective training of a new type of teacher - distance learning tutor are analyzed.
