Abstract

Positive and negative trends in external independent evaluation have been identified. The special role of preparatory courses at a higher educational institution in relation to preparation for external independent assessment and admission to higher education is outlined, as well as the main problems of certain training are identified. The main types of control of students in preparatory courses are distinguished: entrance, current, boundary, final.
