Abstract

The publication explains the concept of interference as a psychological phenomenon that occurs in the process of mastering any second language. In particular, we have studied the interference influence of the native language of students who are representatives of national minorities on the process of mastering the Ukrainian language as a second language. Interference means any negative influence of the native language on the perceived / produced speech in the second language. The author emphasizes the important role of both teaching aids and teachers in preventing interference.
