Abstract

Psychology must follow a general scientific methodology. The problem of critical consideration of leading psychological theoretical concepts arises at the present stage of development of psychology. The purpose of critical analysis is to separate the true constructive components and misconceptions in these psychological theories. This is a necessary step in the real integration of psychological knowledge. This state of psychological science is the result of the influence of some ideas transferred from metaphysics and religious philosophy. This creates a conflict with ideas about the biological nature of mental functions. But the phenomenon of spirituality in the natural paradigm is explored in some approaches. Positive psychology is such an approach.
