Abstract

The essence of methods of language and contextual assumptions is revealed, their important development in the process of reading activity of junior schoolchildren is substantiated. Exercises and tasks of contextual and non-contextual character, prognostic tasks based on out-of-text elements (title, keywords, illustrations), and also the illustrative-reference device of the children's book are offered.
