Abstract

The article studies the problem of children’s social maladaptation. It shows that the phenomenon of socially maladapted behavior is a complex and multidimensional problem investigated in many sciences. The studied psychological aspects of such behavior help make timely corrections, as well as prevent negative behavioral manifestations shown by a particular person. The following personal traits characterizing the social maladaptation of children with deviant behavior are determined: emotional instability, low level of self-control, discrepancies between self-esteem and level of aspirations, deformed value-normative perceptions (a deformed system of internal regulations, irrelevant referential orientations), the tendency to escape from reality in a frustrating situation.
