Abstract

The article covers the state of study of psychological problems of parents raising children with developmental disabilities, and methodological issues of providing them with psychological assistance. In particular, the emergence of various psychological protections in parents is considered, the leading one being the subconscious rejection of a real child with its developmental disorders and non-recognition of the violations themselves, which causes a semantic barrier between parents and professionals working with the child. The task of psychological support of parents, the implementation of which is possible in the conditions of inclusive resource centers, which are currently developing in Ukraine, is outlined. Methods and specific methods of diagnostic and psychocorrectional work with parents are considered.
