Abstract

The theses reveal the peculiarities of the actualization of the image of the embroidered shirt in Ukrainian modern poetry, the ways of symbolizing this artifact of Ukrainian culture. The symbol of the embroidered shirt is considered through the prism of the individual author's art system: from realistic perception to postmodern. Understanding the folk code of the embroidered shirt through the prism of the author's artistic perception adds new individual features to this image.
